De Amsterdamse alleskunner Sef bracht begin 2020 zijn meest recente album 'El Salvador' uit, waarop hij in ijzersterke popliedjes de grotere levensvragen niet schuwt. Omdat hij zijn nieuwe album vanwege de aanhoudende lockdown niet live kon spelen, besloot hij eind vorig jaar om zijn plaat in Paradiso op te nemen. En niet zoals we hem live kennen in een kleine elektronische set-up, maar met een bigband en strijkers. Op 26 en 28 oktober 2021 treedt hij weer op in de grote zaal van Paradiso, maar nu onder begeleiding van een orkest én in het bijzijn van publiek.

Sef begon zijn muzikale carrière binnen de groep Flinke Namen, samen met Glen Faria en Mossel. In 2011 bracht hij voor het eerst solomuziek uit en scoorde meteen een hit met ‘De Leven’, de titelsong van de film Rabat. Yousef manifesteerde zich ook als grafisch ontwerper en regisseur; hij maakte veel van zijn eigen artwork en videoclips, evenals die van collega-artiesten.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
