Fatima Yamaha, also known as Bas Bron, composed the soundtrack for the film 'Onzichtbaar', directed by Gabriëlle Provaas, which is set to premiere on Saturday October 21 at Eye Filmmuseum. Click here for more information about the premiere. After the premiere, Fatima Yamaha will grace the audience at Parallel during an exclusive live show with music that draws inspiration from the soundtrack he crafted, intertwined with his signature and ever-danceable Fatima Yamaha sound. During the concert, VJ Jayo Tony provides the visuals, which also are partially inspired by the movie.

Fatima Yamaha
DJ and producer Fatima Yamaha has been shrouded in mystery since the release of the single "What's A Girl To Do" in 2004. This remarkable, melancholic dance track has evolved over the years, finding its way into the record bags of DJs like Hudson Mohawke, Dixon, and Bicep, becoming a timeless dancefloor classic in underground clubs in the Netherlands, England, and Scotland. Who was Fatima Yamaha? According to the legend, she was a young woman from Turkey, born to a family with a Japanese father and a Turkish mother. We now know better: Fatima Yamaha is one of the alter egos of Amsterdam-based producer Bas Bron, primarily recognized in the Netherlands as a member of De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig and for the beats he creates for artists like Donnie. Bas Bron's music stands out unmistakably with its idiosyncratic blend of vintage synthesizers, funky basslines, and hard-hitting beats.

In 2015, eleven years after his initial release, he dropped his debut album, "Imaginary Lines," followed by the EP "Araya" via Dekmantel Records. Both releases catapulted Fatima Yamaha to prominent festival stages at acclaimed events like PITCH, Dekmantel, Glastonbury, and Werchter. In 2020, he unveiled his most recent album, "Spontaneous Order."
