Ellis is het project van dreampopsongwriter Linnea Siggelkow. Samen met haar band maakte ze naam in de DIY-scene van Toronto en er volgden supportshows voor onder andere Soccer Mommy en Palehound. Daarna ging het snel: haar zelfgeproduceerde debuut-EP uit 2018 leverde onverwacht een platencontract bij Fat Possum Records op. Er verschenen lovende recensies van Pitchfork en Noisey, waarin vergelijkingen met bands als Mazzy Star, Alvvays en Slowdive werden gemaakt. Deze aandacht vormde de ideale opmaat voor het officiële debuutalbum van Ellis, dat werd geproduceerd door Jake Aron (Snail Mail, Solange en Grizzly Bear) en in 2020 uitkomt.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
