Na een pauze van drie jaar is het experimentele hiphoptrio Death Grips terug met nieuwe muziek en nieuwe liveshows. De formatie uit Sacramento, bestaande uit MC Ride (vocals), Zach Hill (drums en productie) en Andy Morin (keyboard en productie) maakt industriële, elektronische hiphop zonder conventies, waarbij MC Rides bijtende rapstijl 360 graden wordt versterkt door de noise- en punkbeïnvloede producties van de andere twee. Naast een beruchte livereputatie staat het trio ook bekend om buiten het podium chaos te zaaien: zo lekte de band uit onvrede met hun label zelf tweede album 'No Love Deep Web' via BitTorrent en kondigden ze in 2014 al aan te stoppen, om begin 2015 weer nieuwe muziek uit te brengen.
Na het laatste album 'Year of the Snitch' (2018) verscheen in 2019 nog 'Gmail and the Restraining Orders', een mixtape ter ere van het 30-jarig bestaan van Warp Records. Daarna werd het even stil rondom de drie, maar de band hintte via hun Instagram afgelopen december op nieuwe muziek én een wereldtournee.

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.Â
