De We The People… Poetry Night op 17 oktober en 5 december 2020 is opnieuw uitgesteld en zal nu plaatsvinden op 27 maart 2021. De locatie en aanvangstijden zijn niet aangepast. Reeds gekochte kaarten blijven geldig voor de nieuwe datum. Ticketkopers ontvangen een e-mail met meer informatie. We verzoeken bezoekers om niet telefonisch of per e-mail om meer informatie te vragen.

We waarderen het dat je naar onze show wilde komen. En we hadden je er zo graag bij gehad om ons 2-jarig jubileum met ons te vieren. We zullen maar iets langer moeten wachten, en we hopen dat je er dan weer bij bent! We wensen iedereen liefde & (mentale/spirituele) kracht voor wanneer het moeilijker gaat.

It’s We The People…’s 2 year anniversary! And we’re inviting you to celebrate with us at this 2nd edition of We The People… Poetry Night at Paradiso. Enjoy the rhythms of a live (afro-)jazz fusion band and, as always, a lineup of diverse word artists eager to share what’s on their hearts & minds.

Safety measures + face mask obligation
Paradiso has taken strict measures to make small-scale concerts and programs possible. These are in line with the applicable guidelines of the RIVM. Tickets are personal and cannot be resold. An ID card is requested at the door. Wearing a mouth mask in Paradiso is mandatory. More information and all measures can be found via the link below.
​We The People...
We The People… is for the people. We who want to create, feel, express and share, but find little resonance in the mainstream. We believe that art should be democratic and that the power of expression lies in the diversity of it. Yet we are surrounded by so many creative & expressive young individuals from many different backgrounds whose voices are underrepresented in the Dutch art scene. So we decided we needed to create a platform where we could claim our space and manifest as a community. A home to everyone, and a safe space specifically for youths of color, with all of their complex identities. We create and host cultural & creative events that build on the mindset behind the platform itself. Our first and most recurring event is We The People… Poetry Night. Our poetry nights are warm, safe and approachable gatherings with all the right ingredients. We welcome love, respect, good vibes and positive vibrations. We hope to see you around!Â

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.Â
