The Rubens zijn een indie-rock quintet afkomstig uit Menagle, New South Wales. In thuisland Australië boekte het vijftal al de nodige successen. De band rondom de drie broers (Zaac, Sam en Elliott Margin) en hun 2 middelbare school vrienden (Scott Baldwin en William Zeglis) bracht in 2012 hun eerste album ‘The Rubens’ uit, welke inmiddels de platinum status in het thuisland heeft bereikt. De band verzorgde daarnaast het voorprogramma van onder meer Bruce Springsteen tijdens zijn Australische tournee. De nieuwe single ‘Million Man’ werd geschreven door Elliot gedurende de hoogtijdagen van het album Hoops (2015). De track werd – samen met het merendeel van het aanstaande derde album – geproduceerd door het producersduo achter Run The Jewels, de broers Wilder Zoby en Little Shalimar (aka Torbitt Schwartz).

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
