Mannequin Pussy is een vierkoppige feministische punkrockband uit Philadelphia. Hun geluid is lastig te definiëren: de muziek en de teksten zijn zowel agressief als kwetsbaar, zowel explosief als gevoelig en zowel hard als zachtjes, met invloeden van punkrock, emo, indie en pop. De band bestaat uit Colins 'Bear' Regisford (bas, zang), Kaleen Reading (drums, percussie), Maxine Steen (gitaar, synths) en Marisa Dabice (gitaar, zang) en bracht tot nu toe vier platen uit, waarvan meest recentelijk 'I Got Heaven', in maart 2024 via het iconische punklabel Epitaph. Het album is een intens en levendig werk dat de luisteraar uitdaagt om na te denken over de wereld waarin we leven en onze rol daarin.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
