The Queerest Wuthering Heights Day Ever

On Sunday, July 23, 2023, Paradiso and UltraSexi will organize The Queerest Wuthering Heights Day Ever - a dance flashmob on Museumplein as part of Queer & Pride Amsterdam.

"The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever" is an international event where participants recreate the music video for the 1978 song "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush. The inspiration comes from "The Ultimate Kate Bush Experience," which took place in 2013 in Brighton, United Kingdom, as part of Brighton Fringe, created by performance collective Shambush!, which attempted to set an unofficial world record for the most people dressed as Kate Bush in one place, with hundreds in attendance.

So buy, make or borrow a Kate Bush red dress and come to Paradiso, where we will start with a rehearsal and then leave together for Museumplein. Afterwards, we will return to Paradiso for a high tea! The six best Kates can repeat their performance on the sold out Milkshake Festival on Sunday, July 30th.

Program:

• 12.00 hrs: hall open
• 13.00 hrs: rehearse choreography in Paradiso
• 14.30 hrs: heading to Museumplein
• 15.00 hrs: Wuthering Heights followed by Running up that (AH) Hill.
• 17.00 hrs: Afterparty - high tea in Paradiso
• 19.00 hrs: End
