Na haar fantastische optreden op Super-Sonic Jazz Festival 2019 in Paradiso, keert Nubya Garcia op 10 februari 2021 terug naar Amsterdam voor een show in Paradiso Noord. Tenorsaxofonist Nubya Garcia is één van de vaandeldragers van de bruisende hedendaagse jazzscene van Engeland. Als kind van Caribische ouders, opgegroeid in een creatieve omgeving in het multiculturele Londen, maakte ze al vroeg kennis met genres als gospel, soul en latin en de voor Engeland zo typerende stijlen als grime, garage en dub. Al deze invloeden hoor je terug in haar bijzondere composities, dansbare liveshows én haar muziekkeuze in dj-sets en op de radio, want naast muzikant is Garcia tevens resident op het toonaangevende NTS radio.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
