In 2009 brengt Local Natives ‘Gorilla Manor’ uit; een tijdloos en zonnig indiefolkdebuut waarvoor het vijftal wereldwijd erkenning krijgt. De band uit Los Angeles meet zich een eigen klank aan met knappe driestemmige samenzang en herkenbare percussie, maar laat tegelijkertijd doorschemeren dat bands als Fleet Foxes, Arcade Fire en Vampire Weekend een bron van inspiratie vormen. In 2016 bewegen de leden van Local Natives een stap richting een grootser en elektronischer geluid met het derde album ‘Sunlit Youth’. Op de vierde plaat ‘Violet Street’ keert het vijftal echter terug naar de hoogtijdagen van ‘Gorilla Manor’, aangevuld met tien jaar hoorbare ervaring in de studio en op het podium.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
