Voordat Lloyd Cole in 1989 solo ging, scoorde hij hits met zijn band Lloyd Cole and the Commotions. Het eerste album van de band, het folk-rock-achtige ‘Rattlesnakes’ wordt gezien als een van de beste debuutalbums uit de jaren tachtig. Coles solowerk bevat nog altijd folk-elementen maar gaat daarnaast richting psychedelisch, country en soul. Op zijn nieuwe album 'Guesswork' laat de Brit horen dat hij nog altijd rake popliedjes kan schrijven, maar tevens durft te experimenteren en een uitstapje maakt naar elektronica hier en daar.

How to get to Zonnehuis
Zonnehuis is on Zonneplein 30a in Amsterdam North. Parking is free around this monumental building. The closest ferry to Zonnehuis is the NDSM-werf ferry. From there you can take a cab or bicycle, both getting you to the venue in about 10 minutes.
