De jonge Canadese rapper KILLY geeft op maandag 27 september een show in Bitterzoet. Het slechts 23-jarige talent met zowel Filipijnse als Barbadaanse roots brak door in 2017 met zijn viral hit ‘Killamonjaro’. De track werd opgepikt door onder andere Drake’s OVO Sound Radio en grote muziekblogs als Pitchfork en Complex. In 2018 en 2019 volgden zijn EP’s ‘KILLSTREAK’ en ‘LIGHT PATH 8’, waarmee hij opnieuw wereldwijd aandacht trok. KILLY staat bekend om zijn bijzondere manier van songschrijven, zijn verslavende flow en onmiskenbare gevoel voor stijl. Hij houdt zelf niet van de labels als ‘soundcloud rap’ of ‘emo rap’, die soms worden gebruikt om zijn muziek te omschrijven. Wel noemt hij rappers als Kanye West, Travis Scott en Joey Badass als zijn inspiratiebronnen. Onlangs bracht hij zijn nieuwe track ‘PYRO’ uit, binnenkort volgt meer nieuwe muziek.

How to get to Bitterzoet
Bitterzoet is located close to Amsterdam Central station. From there you can walk to the venue. There are limited and busy parking lots in the area.
