Soul- en jazz-zangeres, songwriter en pianist Kandace Springs werd geboren in Nashville en groeide op in een muzikaal gezin. Ze breekt in 2014 door wanneer niemand minder dan Prince een video ziet waarin Springs een cover zingt van Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me'. Zonder twijfel nodigt de funklegende haar uit om met hem op te treden op Paisley Park. Haar meest recente album ‘The Woman Who Raised Me’ zag in 2020 het levenslicht en daarop klinken haar funky sound en geweldige, diepe vocalen beter dan ooit tevoren. Tijdens de corona pandemie is haar concert in Amsterdam meerdere keren verplaatst en is het concert uiteindelijk niet meer doorgegaan. Op 21 april is het dan eindelijk zo ver en komt ze ons verblijden met haar klanken in Tolhuistuin.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
