During this evening, Paradiso will observe the National Remembrance Day on May 4th. This means that at 8:00 PM, two minutes of silence will be observed. Programs scheduled to begin at this time will start later.
In zijn tv-show ‘Later… With Jools Holland’ biedt Jools Holland al ruim 30 jaar vele artiesten een podium maar het zelf spelen zal hij waarschijnlijk nooit kunnen laten. Niet zelden schuift Jools Holland, begaafd blues- en boogie-woogie pianist, tijdens zijn shows even achter de piano. In 1987 richtte de Engelse pianist The Jools Holland Big Band op, welke door de jaren heen organisch veranderde in het negentien koppen tellende Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. Hiermee keert hij jaarlijks terug naar Paradiso, voor een tot in de puntjes verzorgde avond vol soul, blues, ska, jazz, pop en natuurlijk boogie-woogie.

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.Â
