“I'm so sorry that these shows could not happen. With the continued uncertainty over international travel we wanted to wait before rescheduling again, but we promise to try to get back as soon as we can”
NL: Dit is het verplaatste programma van 8 september 2020. Let op: het concert van Joan Shelley zou in eerste instantie plaatsvinden op 1 juni 2020. Ook zijn de aanvangstijden gewijzigd. Alle gekochte tickets blijven geldig voor de nieuwe datum in 2021.

Joan Shelley schrijft ontroerende en intieme liedjes zoals weinig anderen dat kunnen. Dit doet de artiest uit Kentucky veelal zelf, maar voor haar zelfgetitelde album uit 2017 werkte ze samen met niemand minder dan Jeff Tweedy. Nu is ze terug met haar vijfde plaat ‘Like the River Loves the Sea’, waarop ook de vocalen van Bonnie "Prince" Billy te horen zijn. Voor de opnames reisde ze naar IJsland en werkte ze samen met lokale muzikanten voor de viool- en cellopartijen. Het resultaat is wederom een meer dan mooie combinatie van sixties folk en klassieke country.

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
