Michelle Zauner was ooit gitarist en zangeres van indierockband Little Big League uit Phliadelphia totdat bij haar moeder kanker werd geconstateerd en ze terugging naar haar huis in Oregon. Terwijl ze bij haar moeder verbleef, poetste ze haar lo-fi nummers op onder de naam Japanese Breakfast. Na twee mooie en persoonlijke albums over het ziektebed en uiteindelijk verliezen van haar moeder, is daar nu de derde: 'Jubilee'. Een album waarop Zauner het leven durft te vieren door haar zinnen te zetten op maximale vreugde, verbeeldingskracht en opwinding. Met een rake combinatie tussen droomachtige indie en pop, aangevuld met triomfantelijke blazers en strijkers.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
