Jade Jackson is country én punk. De Amerikaanse artiest werd op 23-jarige leeftijd ontdekt door Mike Ness, bekend van de punkrockband Social Distortion. Hij produceerde haar debuutalbum ‘Gilded’ (2017) en hielp de zangeres met het ontwikkelen van haar eigen klank en vakmanschap. Te horen is hoe ze klassieke country, Americana, folk en invloeden van west coast punk combineert met haar ietwat rauwe stem. Waar ze op haar debuut de echte persoonlijke verhalen nog op een armlengte afstand hield, kiest ze er nu voor om het verhaal van haar eigen leven te vertellen. Hoe dat klinkt, is te horen op haar nieuwe album ‘Wilderness’.
