HOWRAH is een vierkoppige Amsterdamse band waarin (ex-)leden van diverse bands uit de Nederlandse undergroundscene te herkennen zijn. De groep werd in 2016 opgericht door voormalig Zoppo-frontman Cees van Appeldoorn, samen met de gewezen ritmesectie van Space Siren: drummer Ineke Duivenvoorde en bassist Aico Turba. Met de toevoeging van gitarist Bart Schotman (The Howl Ensemble) in 2020 vond HOWRAH haar huidige vorm. Samen maken ze meeslepende songs die ontstaan uit dwarse en noisy gitaarlijnen en op het fundament van bas en drum een gestroomlijnd, groovy geheel vormen. Een intrigerend geheel van noise, drones, melodieën, ritmes, woorden en dromen. Na het verschijnen van debuutalbum ‘Self serving strategies’ in 2018, bereikt de band een voorlopig hoogtepunt met het nieuwe album ‘BLISS’.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
