Gaye Su Akyol is zangeres, schilderes en antropologe. De alom geprezen artieste uit Istanbul levert nu een onvergetelijk vierde album 'Anadolu Ejderi' (Anatolische Draak) op. Voortbouwend op haar melange van Turkse psychedelica, krachtige teksten en retro-futuristisch geluid, is haar visie persoonlijker en compromislozer dan ooit tevoren.
Anadolu Ejderi trotseert alle barrières van het huidige politieke klimaat in Turkije, hoewel het ook teruggrijpt op de schoonheid van Istanbul vóór de staatsgrepen. Het album zit vol met mogelijkheden en duikt in het onverwachte. Het zit 'm in de dansvreugde van een disco-sectie in het titelnummer, of de grimmige schoonheid van de akoestische openingen van 'Yaram Derin Derin Kanar' en 'Biz Ne Zaman Düşman Olduk', die als een aardschok binnenkomen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin
Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein. Restaurant THT serves an extensive menu for any music lover – making a reservation is recommended.
