DIIV + Chastity

DIIV is het project rondom singer-songwriter en gitarist Zachary Cole Smith, waarmee shoegaze, indierock en grunge tot uiting komen in galmende nummers. Smith, wie eerst drumde bij Beach Fossils, richtte de band DIIV in 2011 op en een jaar later was debuutalbum ‘Oshin’ een feit. Een plaat vol dromerige, zomerse en pakkende shoegazeliedjes. Het derde album ‘Deceiver’ is de opvolger van het zeer goed ontvangen ‘Is the Is Are’, welke door Pitchfork in de top 10 van ‘Albums Of The Year’ in 2016 werd genoemd. Voor de nieuwe plaat werd de hulp van producer Sonny Diperri (My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, Protomartyr) ingeschakeld. Het is een volwassen, melancholisch album dat put uit de ervaringen met drugs en rehab van Smith.
