De nog maar achttienjarige d4vd heeft zich in minder dan een jaar ontwikkeld van een professionele Fortnite-speler tot een artiest met een BillBoard 200 notering nadat zijn nummer 'Romantic Homicide' viral ging op TikTok. d4vd (echte naam: David Burke) startte zijn muziekcarrière door nummers op te nemen in de kast van zijn zus via de app BandLab. Met de gamecultuur en anime als enkele van zijn grootste invloeden doet het geluid van d4vd denken aan de DIY-geest van hedendaagse opkomende artiesten. Zijn EP ‘Petals to Thorns’ komt 26 mei uit. De nummers op deze EP variëren van snelle, met reverb doordrenkte droompop tot woozy slackerrock met elementen van R&B en poppunk in zijn zang.

How to get to Tolhuistuin
Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein. Restaurant THT serves an extensive menu for any music lover – making a reservation is recommended.
