De soulvolle singer-songwriter, componist en producer Jarle Bernhoft uit Noorwegen komt in het najaar van 2021 terug naar Amsterdam. De 44-jarige muzikant, afkomstig uit een plaatsje net buiten Oslo, had tussen 1996 en 2005 internationaal succes als lid van de Noorse rockbands SPAN en Explicit Lyrics. In 2008 besloot hij het over een andere boeg te gooien en solo verder te gaan. Hij bracht debuutplaat 'Ceramik City Chronicles' uit, waarmee hij de wereld voor het eerst liet kennismaken met zijn voorliefde voor soul. In de jaren daarna volgden nog vijf succesvolle studioalbums, vele internationale tours en optredens in populaire Amerikaanse tv-shows als Conan en The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In 2015 werd hij zelfs als de eerste niet-Amerikaan ooit genomineerd voor een Grammy in de categorie 'Beste R&B-album'. In september brengt Bernhoft zijn zesde studioalbum 'Dancing On My Knees' uit en in november geeft hij een concert in Paradiso Noord.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein
