A select number of corona-proof seated concerts under the ADE Specials banner is set to take place throughout Amsterdam this fall. Paradiso and Paradiso Noord will be hosting nine programmes from Wednesday, October 21st until Sunday, October 25th. The first confirmed artists and programmes are: Speedy J presents STOOR live, Satori presents Maktub, Legowelt, Black Sun Empire & guests, Palmbomen II, De Ambassade, and Peaking Lights. Seated live concerts in Paradiso and Paradiso Noord
Paradiso will host seated live concerts for up to 250 visitors in the main hall on Friday and Saturday evening. Satori, the Dutch-Serbian producer, musician and DJ, takes on the Friday evening with Maktub, a cinematic show where visuals and sounds merge. Saturday is all about techno veteran Speedy J and his project STOOR live; together with a varying line-up of musicians and video artists, he provides a completely improvised audio-visual session. Earlier in the ADE-week, Super-Sonic Jazz Festival presents two evenings in the main hall, for 200 visitors per event and with an extensive line-up on both Wednesday and Thursday. On the other side of the IJ, Paradiso Noord will be dedicated to ADE for four days with small-scale shows for 86 visitors. The series of live shows start on Thursday and is kicked off by De Ambassade with their Dutch wave music. On Friday evening the psychedelic electronica of Peaking Lights will buzz through the venue, after which the night is taken over by Black Sun Empire and guests. On Saturday, the headstrong producer Legowelt will play an adjusted ambient set in order to be able to offer his seated audience an optimal listening experience in this new setting. Palmbomen II concludes the festival week with a live set altered for this ADE.
ADE Specials
In addition to the select venues hosting multidisciplinary concerts and projects in Amsterdam, ADE is set to present a virtual celebration of dance culture for a global audience of music enthusiasts, featuring a variety of digital content including DJ sets, artist talks, studio tours, masterclasses, artistic cross-overs, a film program and much more on a brand new, freely accessible online platform.
