Belgian rapper Hamza is a rare phenomenon. Over the last 5 years, the melodic rapper-singer has been able to carve his own path as the missing link between the Atlanta, Toronto and Brussels scenes. With notice from Drake’s partner & OVO-founder Oliver El-Khatib (first on his OVO sound Beats 1 show, then by being invited to perform alongside Drake in Paris) and championed by specialized media, Hamza has been hailed as the ”Belgian answer to Young Thug”. But whereas Thug drops consonants and blurts gutturally, Hamza takes something already distorted and pushes it to the limits of understanding. He gets to the essence of words, creating something stylish and evocative. His debut album, Paradise, with big features from Christine and the Queens, Aya Nakamura and SCH, allowed him to glow even brighter: Paradise is Hamza’s greatest, most refined effort to date and he is thrilled to be supporting the album on tour across Europe.

And there is no other better allies for Hamza than YARD, an event promoter based in Paris known for organizing the best urban parties/shows in France. YARD parties are very energetic, with DJs switching from highly curated rap, r&b, afrobeat and dancehall hits, with an emphasis on la crème de la crème of french trending music. For the upcoming summer, the crew brings its YARD Summer Club to three big European cities: Amsterdam, Brussels, and London.

YARD makes memorable parties that transcend language and communicate feeling.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
