Wie naar Winston Surfshirt luistert zal het moeilijk vinden om stil te blijven zitten. Het collectief uit Sydney maakt veelal vrolijke muziek met invloeden uit de hiphop, soul, r&b, psychedelische pop, met daaroverheen een vleugje Australische zonneschijn. De band hoopt dat hun muziek de kracht heeft van muziek van weleer, maar wel in een modern jasje. Hierbij staat voor de Australiërs openheid en plezier voorop. Deze manier van werken slaat aan, want de fanbase van Winston Surfshirt blijft wereldwijd groeien en ook andere artiesten werken graag met het collectief samen. Zo staan op het nieuwe album 'Panna Cotta' samenwerkingen met Kimbra, DOPE LEMON, Young Franco en Milan Ring & Jerome Farah. Zelf omschrijft de band dit album als hun pièce de résistance, want dit is het album waarvan het collectief gedroomd heeft, zowel qua samenwerkingen als muziek.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
