De Nederlandstalige indiepopband WIES beleefde een vliegende carrièrestart met de winst van de Amsterdamse Popprijs in 2018 en de Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2019. Het Amsterdamse drietal leerde elkaar kennen op het Conservatorium van Amsterdam en zorgt naar eigen zeggen voor ‘de perfecte driehoeksdynamiek van pop, elektronica en het raggende organische’, geïnspireerd door het werk van Ramses Shaffy tot Spinvis. In 2020 speelden zij hun eerste en tevens uitverkochte clubshow in de grote zaal van Paradiso (‘De Grote ParaWIESo Anderhalve Meter Show’). Het debuutalbum van WIES is uitgekomen op 17 september en deze februari zie je ze in Paradiso Noord.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
