We The People Poetry Night

We The People… is for the people. We who want to create, feel, express and share, but find little resonance in the mainstream. We believe that art should be democratic and that the  power of expression lies in the diversity of it. Yet we are surrounded by so many creative & expressive young individuals from many different backgrounds whose voices are underrepresented in the Dutch art scene. So we decided we needed to create a platform where we could claim our space and manifest as a community. A home to everyone, and a safe space specifically for youths of color, with all of their complex identities. We create and host cultural & creative events that build on the mindset behind the platform itself. Our first and most recurring event is We The People… Poetry Night. Our poetry nights are warm, safe and approachable gatherings with all the right ingredients. We welcome  love, respect, good vibes and positive vibrations. We hope to see you around!
