The Visual is een Amsterdamse band bestaande uit songwriter Anna van Rij, toetsenist Timon Persoon en drummer Tim van Oosten. De band vertolkt liedjes die net zo scherp berusten op sfeer en stilte als een fraaie melodie, waarbij de expressieve stem van Van Rij het absolute aandachtspunt vormt. Op vloeibare wijze schakelt ze van warm naar kil; soms vol smacht en verleiding, anderzijds onderkoeld en somber. Zonder het experiment te schuwen maakt The Visual vastgeroeste ideeën over identiteit, geaardheid en menselijke relaties met de grond gelijk. Vanavond presenteert de band hun nieuwe album.
