Het concert van The Steel Woods op 17 juli is afgelast vanwege het annuleren van de gehele Europese tournee, veroorzaakt door de onzekere situatie rondom het coronavirus. The July 17th, 2021 concert of The Steel Woods is cancelled due to the artist's cancellation of their European tour, caused by the uncertainty around the Covid-19 situation. Ticket buyers who have purchased a ticket directly via our website will receive more information through e-mail.

Statement van de band:
‘Sadly due to the ongoing Covid-19 health crisis we are unable to make it to Europe this summer and have to cancel the remaining dates - refunds are available at the point of purchase. Rest assured we are already making plans to come back and will see you as soon as we possibly can!’

Onlangs werd het trieste nieuws bekendgemaakt dat Jason 'Rowdy' Cope, oprichter van The Steel Woods, overleden is. Het statement van de band luidt: “We are writing this still in a state of shock and kindly ask for your prayers for the family, friends and band at this time. We take comfort in knowing he is in a better place now and his passion for music and art will live forever in the work he has left behind. RIP Rowdy, you will be forever and greatly missed.”

The Steel Woods maakt traditionele southern rock uit Nashville. Het kwartet borduurt voort op het geluid van pioniers zoals Lynyrd Skynyrd. En net zoals hun legendarische voorganger balanceert The Steel Woods op het randje van zware bluesrock en rootsmuziek. Voeg daar wat uitgesproken outlaw country aan toe en het is geen verrassing dat deze groep onlangs nog de kleine zaal van Paradiso stampvol kreeg. In diezelfde periode verscheen het nieuwe album 'Old News', welke een weergaloze cover van Tom Petty's 'Southern Accents' bevat.
