The Sounds of Blackness (SOB) is now in it's 4th year & a new high point for ADE weekend.

Inspired by the Frankie Knuckles NYC residency at the Sound Factory Bar & Frankie's brilliant remix of "The Pressure" by Sounds of Blackness circa 1996, Elliott Matos (under the great direction of Amsterdam's legendary Roxy HARD ringleader, Steve Malenka) has nurtured this very SOULFUL HOUSE idea into a night dedicated to the Underground HOUSE music sounds that originated in the gay cellar bars & the dancefloors of New York mixed with Black, Latino, White and all the colours that came to be the vanguard of the club culture on dance floors that we experience today. 

SOB this year on Saturday Oct 17th takes place in the Tolhuistuin, Paradiso’s new location in the north of Amsterdam, with an amazing sound system that will provide a warm sea of bass & treble that spells out one line: "Lets Go Dancing". Elliott Matos & Paradiso Tolhuistuin are set to provide a proper New York City Dance Night that will relieve "the Pressure of the World".

The DJs for this night are native New Yorkers, here in Amsterdam specially for this ADE Sound of Blackness night and each has made their own mark in the House Music world of today.
