The Slow Readers Club is een vierkoppige band uit Manchester. Dat ze uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk komen is duidelijk te horen. Dit is niet per se te danken aan het Britse accent van zanger Aaron Starkie, maar vooral aan het feit dat de heren onvervalste Britpop maken. Keiharde gitaarriffs zorgen in combinatie met dansbare electropop voor een duister en tegelijkertijd sfeervol geluid. Hun vijfde album met de titel ‘91 Days in Isolation’ vormt hierop geen uitzondering. Het werd geschreven tijdens de lockdown in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en geeft met die typische duistere Manchester sound de stemming van de natie op dat moment weer.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
