The May 3rd, 2020 concert of The James Hunter Six is postponed to Thursday May 6th, 2021 at 20:30h (doors: 19:30h). The location and times have not changed. Bought tickets remain valid for the new date of the concert. All ticket buyers will receive an e-mail with details shortly.

James Hunter is r&b-troubadour van beroep en werd door niemand minder dan Van Morrison “het best bewaarde geheim in de wereld van de Britse soul en r&b” genoemd. Aangejaagd door een swingende ritme- en blazerssectie maakt Hunter dampende rhythm & blues, waarin zijn fantastische stem volop de ruimte krijgt om te excelleren. In 2018 kwam het vijfde album van The James Hunter Six uit op het vermaarde Daptone Records (o.a. Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley).

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
