Naast Gorillaz en Blur heeft Damon Albarn kennelijk nog tijd over voor zijn andere grote project: The Good, The Bad & The Queen. Samen met een sterrencast als gitarist Simon Tong van The Verve, bassist Paul Simonon van The Clash en Tony Allen, drummer van Fela Kuti, is de wereld sinds 2007 weer een supergroep rijker. Het album 'Merrie Land' is het eerste nieuwe materiaal in elf jaar. Net als in Blur gaan de teksten vooral over het typische Engeland, maar dan nu met de Brexit boven het hoofd hangend, en de teloorgang van het land als hoofdthema. De supergroep circuleert rond in indie, folk, pop en dub en de immer scherpe teksten van Albarn stellen nooit teleur.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
