Dit concert is afgelast. Kaartkopers kunnen hun tickets retourneren aan Ticketmaster en krijgen het aankoopbedrag teruggestort op hun rekening. Het officiële statement vanuit de band luidt als volgt:
“Important announcement: we are very sad to say that we are cancelling our upcoming Europe tour dates due to the sudden illness of a close family member. We love you Europe and hope to reschedule as soon as possible.”
The Courtneys gaat met hun sterke garage-powerpop terug naar het begin van de jaren negentig en wordt sterk beïnvloedt door bands als Teenage Fanclub, Pavement en The Clean. Dromerige gitaarriffs worden gecombineerd met een stevige ruggengraat van stuwende baslijnen en harde drums. Vorig jaar kwam het tweede album 'II' van Crazy Courtney, Classic Courtney en Cute Courtney uit op het gerenommeerde platenlabel Flying Nun Records (The Chills, Pavement, The Bats).

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
