Wellicht verraadt hun bandnaam het al, maar volgens indiefolkduo Joshua Lee Turner en Allison Young zit er goedheid in elk muzikaal decennium. Het tweetal deelt een eclectische nostalgie voor geluiden uit het verleden - van jazz en klassiek tot aan singer-songwriters uit de jaren '60 en broeierige indierock uit de vroege jaren 2000. Op hun titelloze debuutalbum slagen de twee erin om deze diverse inspiratiebronnen tot één geheel te smeden, zonder het belang van moderniteit uit het oog verliezen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
