Ríoghnach Connolly (Honeyfeet) en Stuart McCallum (gitarist van The Cinematic Orchestra) zijn het creatieve hart van het Ierse The Breath. De band komt voort uit de super creatieve jazzcultuur die Manchester al een flink aantal jaren rijk is. Connolly schrijft poëtische, persoonlijke teksten met een duidelijke boodschap. De combinatie van haar diepe, soulvolle en uiterst boeiende stem met McCallums ingetogen gitaarspel resulteert in prachtige nummers, rijk aan emotionele lading. 'Let the Cards Fall', met pianist John Ellis, bassist Sam Vicary en drummer Luke Flowers, is de opvolger van het album 'Carry Your Kin' uit 2016, daarop hoor je een combinatie van nu-jazz-soundscapes en klassieke soulvolle Ierse folk, aangevuld met strijkers, toetsen en de bijzonder krachtige stem van Connolly.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
