The concert of The Brand New Heavies has been moved from March 31, 2020, January 18, 2021 and September 15, 2021 to March 23, 2022. Tickets purchased for these three previous dates will remain valid for the new date. Ticket buyers will receive an email with more information.

The Brand New Heavies worden gezien als pioniers van de Londense acid-jazzscene. De band begon als instrumentale band, en de naam 'The Brand New Heavies' is een verwijzing naar een quote van James Brown: 'Minister of New Super Heavy Funk'. Het grote succes kwam in de jaren '90 toen een zangeres bij de band werd gevoegd, met grote hits als ‘Dream On Dreamer’, 'Spend Some Time' en 'Never Stop' als gevolg. Sophisticated en smooth, dat is al ruim 25 jaar de stijl van The Brand New Heavies. Op 15 september 2021 komt de band terug naar Amsterdam voor een concert in Paradiso.

De band speelt in Paradiso met de volgende bezetting: Simon Bartholomew, Andrew Levy en zangeres Angela Ricci.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
