Unfortunately, Tumi Mogorosi has cancelled his concert 'Tumi Mogorosi presents: Black Music' on Tuesday 15 November at the Vondelkerk during the Super-Sonic Jazz Festival 2022

A personal message from the artist
Dear fans, music-lovers, due to very unfortunate reasons I am obliged to cancel our upcoming performances this year in Europe once again. This means I won’t be able to perform at Flagey Brussels, Le Guess Who? in Utrecht, Super-Sonic Jazz in Amsterdam and Ronnie Scott's in London. It is frustrating to see bureaucracy and references to very outdated and old legislation being the foundation of EU immigration to frustrate beautiful arts and music being performed at renown festivals. It is disheartening to me that this is a direct conversation with the rhetoric "after-life" of apartheid and the bureaucratic realities present such difficulties in being granted fairly simple travel documents.

On behalf of the band and myself would like to apologize to all who had anticipated witnessing the Group Theory; Black Music. We appreciate the understanding of all the promoters who had made the trips possible and to Good Music Company for their unwavering support and efforts to contact every embassy and government office to try to make these concerts happen. I would also like to apologize to those that purchased tickets and were excited to see our performances. We are sorting through these travel issues and hope to see you in 2023 energized and with the challenges we have been faced with behind us.
