De bebaarde Australiër Steve Smyth reist al jarenlang de wereld over en vindt overal inspiratie voor het schrijven van zijn muziek. De wereldburger vertaalt die inspiratie naar harde rock 'n roll nummers als 'Shake It' of 'Get On', maar ook meer intieme ballades als 'Written or Spoken' of 'Paris'. De overeenkomst tussen deze nummers is het prachtig rauwe stemgeluid van Smyth. Zijn laatste plaat 'Exits' nam hij op in Los Angeles, met producers die eerder samenwerkten met Thom Yorke, Beck, The Black Keys en Norah Jones. Binnenkort verschijnt er nieuw werk, een maar liefst vier EP tellende collectie; 'Blood', 'Matches', 'Fractures' en 'Celebration'.

How to get to Cinetol

Cinetol is on Tolstraat 182 in the South of Amsterdam. The closest tram stop is Lutmastraat. There is also a nice restaurant in the building where you can have dinner before the show. Cinetol only accepts card payment, no cash.
