De vierkoppige Engelse band Starsailor was een van de aanjagers van het genre post-Britpop, wat aan het begin van dit millennium terrein won. Zij aan zij naast bands als Coldplay, The Verve en Travis had Starsailor veel succes met hun melancholische pop/rock, zoals te horen is op hun debuutalbum 'Love Is Here' uit 2001 en hitsingles als 'Fever', 'Alcoholic' en 'Good Souls'. In 2019 bracht de band hun vijfde studioalbum 'All This Life' uit - hun eerste na een pauze van 8 jaar - en bewees de band met een fantastisch optreden in de Melkweg nog steeds in uitstekende vorm te zijn.

Singer-songwriter Chris Egbers maakt onthaastende folk pop: liedjes met een duidelijke kop en staart, waarin ruimte is om weg te dromen. Inspiratiebronnen voor hem zijn artiesten als Bertolf, The War On Drugs en John Mayer, de bijzondere verhalen van andere mensen en zijn loopje naar de supermark

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
