Er zijn niet heel veel bands die zo overtuigend jaren '60 pop spelen als Shannon & The Clams. In tien jaar tijd heeft Shannon Shaw met haar band vier albums op onafhankelijke labels uitgebracht. Dit jaar wordt daar het vijfde album 'Onion' aan toegevoegd. Dit keer werd er gekozen voor Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys, The Arcs) als producer en zijn label Easy Eye Sound. Naast die vintage pop wordt er ook volop geflirt met de psychedelische rock uit hetzelfde tijdperk.
