Japans meest toonaangevende elektronische componist en beeldend kunstenaar Ryoji Ikeda arrangeert op wiskundige wijze geluid, visuals en fysieke materialen tot meeslepende audiovisuele liveperformances, installaties en akoestische muziekstukken.

Met albums als '+/-' (1996), 'matrix' (2000), 'dataplex' (2005) en 'supercodex' (2013) creëerde Ikeda door vlijmscherpe technieken (en esthetieken) een nieuwe wereld binnen de minimal elektronische muziek. In december 2022 bracht hij 'ultratronics' uit, zijn eerste album in de afgelopen tien jaar. In juni brengt de componist het album tot leven met een liveset in de Grote Zaal van Paradiso.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
