Ruston Kelly maakt trefzekere folkpop wat neigt naar country, met welklinkend gebruik van mondharmonica, banjo en pedal steel gitaar. Overkoepelende thema’s in de nummers van de uit Nashville afkomstige singer-songwriter zijn seks, drugs, drank en rock ’n roll en alle consequenties van zo'n levensstijl. Teleurstelling, liefdesverdriet en een bijna-doodervaring na een overdosis, tekenen debuutalbum ‘Dying Star’. Hij beschrijft hier de donkere tijd in zijn leven voordat hij zijn vrouw Kacey Musgraves ontmoette, wie hem sindsdien heeft geholpen op het juiste pad te blijven.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
