De 32-jarige songwriter Rob Dekay maakt soulvolle countrypop met Nederlandstalige teksten. Nadat hij een paar jaar terug het besluit maakt om zich volledig te focussen op zijn muzikale carrière, wordt zijn talent al snel opgemerkt. Er volgt een samenwerking met Akwasi en in de periode daarna tourt hij met Dio langs alle grote festivals in Nederland. In 2016 verschijnt Robs debuut-EP ‘Alles Gaat Voorbij’ via Top Notch, die door zowel media als luisteraars lovend werd ontvangen.
Twee jaar later tekent hij bij Modestus Records, het platenlabel van Guus Meeuwis. Het levert de singles ‘Vol Van Elkaar’ en ‘Je Hoeft Het Niet Alleen Te Doen’ op. Die laatste schrijft Rob samen met Daniël Lohues en Ilse DeLange. Daar blijft het gelukkig niet bij: uit een schrijfsessie met Guus Meeuwis en Diggy Dex komt de single ‘Geef Het Door’ uit en daarna volgt wederom een zomer vol festivaloptredens. Nu is de artiest terug met de ballad ‘Laat Los’, een nieuwe samenwerking met Lohues en DeLange.

How to get to Tolhuistuin
Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein. Restaurant THT serves an extensive menu for any music lover – making a reservation is recommended.
