Aaron Maine maakt met zijn band Porches warme en catchy synthpop. Maine's hoge stem verrijkt de zoetsappige liedjes, die regelmatig tegen het dance-genre aan schuren. Na de albums 'Slow Dance in the Cosmos' (2013) en 'Pool' (2016), die werden opgenomen in Maine's huis in New York, verschijnt album drie 'The House' op 19 januari. De 14 nummers tellende plaat bevat veel samenwerkingen, waaronder met (Sandy) Alex G, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Maya Laner (True Blue), Bryndon Cook (Starchild & The New Romantic) en Aaron's vader Peter Maine. De laatste single 'Country' is nu te luisteren.
Porches speelde in oktober 2016 op London Calling en behoorde tot een van de hoogtepunten samen met Explosions in the Sky, Isaac Gracie, Allah-Las en Twin Peaks.
