Nate Smith is een van de meest spannende en dynamische jazzdrummers van dit moment. In 2017 bracht hij zijn eerste album als bandleider uit: 'Kinfolk: Postcards from Everywhere' via Ropeadope Records, in 2021 opgevolgd door 'Kinfolk 2: See The Birds', waarop hij samenwerkt met gastartiesten als Brittany Howard, Amma Whatt en Joel Ross. In de tussentijd bracht hij overigens ook twee andere projecten uit: de door R&B geïnspireerde EP 'Light and Shadow' in 2020 en de breakbeat solo drumplaat 'Pocket Change' uit 2018. Nate Smith is gedreven, passievol en niet voor één gat te vangen: hij put inspiraties uit allerlei genres en is ongekend veelzijdig. Op 23 mei geeft hij een concert in Paradiso Noord.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
