Mick Flannery is een rauwe en pure liedjesschrijver met een prachtig gepijnigd en met whiskey doordronken stemgeluid. In oktober komt alweer zijn vijfde album 'I Own You' uit. Naar eigen staan daar zijn beste nummers tot nu toe op. Ook snijdt hij op de plaat maatchappelijke problemen als politiegeweld in de Verenigde Staten aan.
