LUDWIG presents: PastPresentFuture

Als voorproef op het Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) - neemt Grammy-award winnend muziekcollectief LUDWIG je op dinsdag 16 oktober mee op experimentele reis met PastPresentFuture. Een futuristisch live-muziek symposium dat verleden, heden en toekomst laat samensmelten door visionaire muzikanten, DJ’s en wetenschappers een podium te geven. Met het hoofdprogramma als ultieme showcase geven slagwerkers een chronologische show in live surround sound met o.a. Edgard Varese’s ionization (13 slagwerkers), Moondog’s Invocation (12 blazers), György Ligeti’s Continuum, Steve Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians en Aphex Twin door Aart Strootman en Eric Satie. Weval is de special guest van deze avond. Doorgaans gaat dit duo voor smeulende, dynamische elektronica, met liefde voor dansbaarheid en epische melodieën. Vanuit hun toekomstvisie sluiten zij deze avond af met een exclusieve ambient set.

Prior to the start of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) – the 16th of October - Grammy-award winning music collective LUDWIG is taking you on an experimental trip with PastPresentFuture. A futuristic live music symposium that melts the past, present and future of electronic music by giving visionary musicians, DJs and scientists a stage. With the main program as an ultimate showcase, percussionists will give a chronological show in live surround sound with Edgard Varese’s ionization (13 percussionists), Moondog’s Invocation (12 musicians), György Ligeti’s Continuum, Steve Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians and Aphex Twin by Aart Strootman and Eric Satie. Electroduo Weval is the special guest of this night. Usually this couple goes for smoldering, dynamic electronics with love for danceability and epic melodies. But especially for PastPresentFuture and with their vision of the future in mind, they’re closing the night with an exclusive ambient set.
