Tickets bought for that date remain valid for this new date. Ticketholders will be informed via e-mail. The statement from Lucky Daye is as followed:

Dear fans,

I am absolutely gutted about the tecnical malfunctions during our show last Friday. I apologize for not giving you the show you all came for. The only way to make it up to you is by coming back to Paradiso, and doing the show again. I know it is a lot to ask after last Friday, making arrangements to visit Paradiso again, but me and my band will do everything in our power to make it worth your while. I am so happy that by coincidence the venue is available on october 1st, and I can travel back and forth from the UK.

We hope to see you on October 1st, 2022, in Paradiso.

Lucky Daye blaast nieuw leven in klassieke r&b. De artiest, die oorspronkelijk David Brown heet, begon als songwriter voor artiesten als Mary J. Blige en Ella Mai voordat hij zijn eerste hit 'Roll Some Mo' uitbracht. Opeens stond de inwoner van New Orleans in de spotlight en werden de meeste liefhebbers al snel bekend met Daye's verfrissende geluid en zwoele teksten over moderne relaties. Zijn debuutalbum 'Painted' uit 2019 werd gelijk beloond met vier Grammy-nominaties.

Als opvolger kwam dit jaar Daye's tweede album 'Candydrip' uit: een door en door r&b-album, dat de stilistische kwaliteiten van klassieke r&b wederom combineert met het lo-fi gevoel van de moderne variant. Met nog twee extra Grammy-nominaties op zak voor zijn meeste recente release lijkt Lucky Daye's formule maar al te goed te werken.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
