Er is ook een concert van Khruangbin op vrijdag 6 december in Paradiso.

Khruangbin, letterlijk vertaald uit het Thais 'Engine Fly', bestaat uit het trio Laura Lee (bas), Mark Speer (gitaar) en Donald Johnson (drums). Een grote drijfveer voor de muziek is Thaise funk uit de jaren '60. Ook Perzische rock uit de jaren '70 en een snufje disco, surfrock en soul vinden hun weg in de ontspannende muziek van de Texanen. Hun debuutalbum 'The Universe Smiles Upon You' uit 2015 werd beïnvloed door Thaise cassettes uit de jaren '60 en '70 en compilaties van Zuidoost-Aziatische pop, rock en funk, waar 'Con Todo El Mundo' uit 2018 eerder naar het Midden-Oosten afreist om inspiratie op te doen uit vergelijkbare onontdekte funk- en soulgeluiden.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
